The Central Beach runs under the Sea Garden, ten minutes from the hotels on the grid. North Beach is quieter and local. Further out, Sarafovo and Kraimorie are fishing villages that became suburbs, with the kind of restaurants that do not print an English menu.
The Black Sea in mid-May is around 17°C — swimmable for the brave, pleasant for the rest. The season starts properly in June; contest week gets the light and the terraces without the August crowd.
